Want to help end modern slavery?
I know I sure want to put an end to modern slavery and as such I've devoted years of my life learning more about the issue and how I can help. For the past few years I've been working on my PhD that looks into how social media communication can be used to motivate people into wanting to do more to stop modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking.
As part of my research, I am conducting an online survey on modern slavery and would really appreciate if you could take 10 minutes of your time to complete it. Please don't worry if you don't know much about modern slavery, all responses are valid and will help me explore the next steps in my research.
Please find below the formal invitation from my university - Queensland University of Technology. The survey link is https://survey.qut.edu.au/f/194394/6c82/
Many thanks, Judith x
Judith Newton, a PhD research student from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is currently researching how Facebook communication about modern slavery and forced labour motivates people to participate in online and offline action. As part of her research, Judith would like to learn more about the people who either follow this issue on Facebook or have an interest in modern slavery and forced labour. She has written a survey to help with her research and if you would like to participate in this study, please click on the online survey link below and complete the survey by 10 May 2020.
In the next part of Judith’s research, she would like to talk to people about some of their experiences with Facebook communication about modern slavery and forced labour and the subsequent actions that they may have taken. If you would like to participate in an interview with Judith, please send her an email at email@example.com to register your interest. The interview will be conducted either face-to-face, via Skype, or Zoom at a date and time convenient to you. If you do participate in an interview, a $25 Prezzee gift card will be given to compensate you for your time.
If you would like any more details about Judith’s research, please visit her research Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/smactivism or send her an email at the address above.
Thanks for taking the time to read this message.
